The East Bay Bike Path
is a scenic 14.5 mile paved trail, running from Bristol to Providence. It follows an abandoned rail bed along Narragansett Bay and connects eight parks – India Point Park in Providence, Bold Point and Squantum Woods in East Providence, Haines and Veteran's Memorial Park in Barrington, Burr's Hill Park in Warren, and Colt State and Independence Parks in Bristol. Perfect for biking, running, inline skating or walking. Power vehicles not permitted.

Nature Walks in Bristol
Bristol offers many opportunities to enjoy natural settings, including Narragansett Bay, salt marshes, and wooded areas. Colt State Park and other open spaces provide fascinating flora, fauna and scenic views.

East Bay Bike Path/Colt State Park
Beginning at Independence Park on Thames Street, head north on the East Bay Bike Path. Views include Bristol Harbor and Mill Pond during the 1 mile walk to Colt State Park. Turn left on Asylum Road into Colt Park. A right turn leads to the Bristol Town Beach or bear left for the main park. A map of scenic walking paths is located near the town beach. Return to town via bike path or walk along Poppasquash Road and enjoy views of the harbor. Distance: 3-5 miles.
