Bristol's Marine History

Today Bristol is still home to numerous internationally renowned boat builders, some with America's Cup yachts in their portfolios. As in the past, the boating industry here provides not just manufacturing but the many equipment, design, and repair services that support the marine industry.

In 1995, Bristol became home to the America's Cup Hall of Fame (located in the Herreshoff Maritime Museum), which celebrates participants and the colorful history of this most famous yacht race.
